महाराष्ट्र दिनाचे औचित्य साधून पत्रकारिता, साहित्य, कला, क्रीडा, शैक्षणिक, सामाजिक, औद्योगीक, वैद्यकीय, उद्योजक, संगीत, धार्मिक, अध्यात्मिक, सहकार, राजकीय, महिला व बालविकास आदी विविध क्षेत्रात विशेष उल्लेखनीय कार्य केलेल्या व्यक्तींकडून ग्लोबल अॅचिव्हर्स अवॉर्ड (Global Achievers Award) पुरस्कारासाठी प्रस्ताव आमंत्रित करण्यात येत आहेत.
